Full job descriptionMacKenzie King are recruiting a Financial Accountant for a well-established manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and sustainability, based near Woolpit. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to develop their technical and commercial finance expertise within a complex international business.
As a Financial Accountant you will play a key role in financial control, cash management, treasury activities, foreign exchange exposure management and intercompany accounting. You will also support statutory reporting, year-end audit activities and ongoing finance improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
*Take ownership of medium and long-term cash flow forecasting and cash management activities.
*Monitor working capital performance and provide insight into cash generation and liquidity.
*Support treasury operations, borrowing requirements and finance cost forecasting.
*Monitor foreign currency exposures and assist with FX hedging activities.
*Manage intercompany accounting and support transfer pricing processes.
*Produce balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong financial controls are maintained.
*Support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes.
*Assist with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements.
*Research technical accounting matters and support the application of UK accounting standards.
*Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and financial controls.
Skills & Attributes:
*Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA or ACCA.
*A solid grounding in financial accounting, balance sheet control and financial reporting.
*Experience of cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
*Exposure to treasury, foreign exchange or financial instruments.
*Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
*Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
