IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a field-based Facilities Management team supporting one of the UK’s largest retail clients across a nationwide estate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled maintenance professional with experience across building fabric trades to take on a varied field-based role covering Devon and Cornwall.
You’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose repair requirements and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while delivering excellent customer service across client sites.
What We Offer*£30,000-£37,000 per annum, depending on experience.
*Permanent, full-time position.
*Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
*Field-based role covering Devon and Cornwall.

Key Duties*Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across building fabric disciplines.
*Diagnose and assess repair requirements at customer sites.
*Complete maintenance and repair works to agreed standards and SLAs.
*Support the preparation of quotations and estimates for repair works.
*Complete job documentation, including photographs, materials used and detailed service reports.
*Manage tools, equipment and van stock effectively.
*Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
*Follow customer site procedures and facilities management processes.
*Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and site contacts.
*Deliver a professional, reliable and customer-focused service at all times.
Requirements*Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance or a multi-skilled maintenance role.
*Experience across multiple building fabric trades.
*Strong practical problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
*Ability to assess repair requirements and estimate works accurately.
*Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload across multiple sites.
*Strong customer service skills and a professional approach.
*Full UK driving licence is essential due to the field-based nature of the role.
