Job Description:
Full job descriptionYou’re joining as a paraplanner, but this doesn’t have to be where your career stops.
This is an established paraplanning role with a financial planning business in Bury, supporting experienced advisers as part of a dedicated team.
What makes it more interesting is where it could lead.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The business has access to an established adviser academy. So while this isn’t a trainee adviser vacancy, if moving into advice is something you want to do longer term, there is a genuine route to get there.
One of the existing directors has also been open about the fact that he won’t advise forever, and that over time the right person could potentially take on some of his clients.
There are no artificial promises about becoming an adviser in 12 months.
But there is a proper development route, experienced people around you and, potentially, clients to inherit further down the line.
THE JOB
You’ll join a paraplanning team of four, supporting three experienced IFAs.
The work is what you’d expect from a proper paraplanning role: research, suitability reports, technical support and working closely with advisers on client cases.
You’ll have a good level of responsibility, plenty of exposure to experienced advisers and the chance to keep developing your technical knowledge.
WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR
Ideally you’ll already have good paraplanning experience and be comfortable supporting advisers across a range of client cases.
You don’t necessarily need to be Diploma qualified if your experience is strong, and they may also consider someone coming from a senior administration background who is ready to step fully into paraplanning.
What matters most is that you understand the advice process, can produce high-quality work and want to keep progressing.
PACKAGE
Salary is to £45,000, depending on experience.
The role also comes with an expected annual, four-figure bonus.
There’s exam support and a hybrid working model, with three days a week in the Bury office.
WHY CONSIDER IT?
Because this isn’t just another paraplanning job with "career progression" written underneath it.
If you want to stay in paraplanning, you’ll have an established team, experienced advisers and a solid technical role.
If you want to become an adviser eventually, there is a genuine route to do it.
NEXT STEPS
Click apply and we’ll tell you more.
Don’t worry if your CV is out of date. We can come to that later.
Everyone will get a response.
