Full job descriptionJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Golang Engineer to develop, maintain and troubleshoot secure Go-based microservices within a modern cloud-native environment.
The successful candidate will have strong experience with Go, REST APIs, microservices, containerisation, Kubernetes and Helm, along with a solid understanding of secure coding, Agile development and continuous delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities*Develop, maintain and troubleshoot secure Go microservices.
*Design and integrate REST APIs within microservices-based architectures.
*Work with containerisation technologies and cloud-native platforms.
*Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes and Helm.
*Follow secure coding and software development best practices.
*Contribute to code management, Agile development and continuous delivery processes.
*Troubleshoot application and deployment issues.
*Work collaboratively with engineering teams while also managing tasks independently.
*Analyse technical issues and develop effective solutions.
*Support continuous improvement of application development and deployment practices.
Required Experience & Skills*Strong hands-on experience with Golang / Go.
*Experience maintaining and troubleshooting secure Go microservices.
*Strong understanding of REST APIs.
*Experience with microservices architecture.
*Experience with containerisation technologies.
*Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
*Hands-on experience deploying applications using Helm.
*Strong understanding of secure coding practices.
*Experience with code management and Agile development practices.
*Experience with continuous delivery / CI/CD.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience*Experience with Java development.
*Familiarity with SQL databases.
*Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
