We are urgently looking for an experienced Accounts Supervisor to join an established construction business based in Ross-on-Wye on a temporary basis.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced finance professional who can step into a busy Finance function and make an immediate impact.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee and support the day-to-day finance operation, with responsibility across:
*Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
*Supplier payments and reconciliations
*Banking and bank reconciliations
*Sales invoicing and cash allocation
*Month-end and year-end support
*Financial reporting and KPIs
*Maintaining strong financial controls and audit trails
*Supervising, coaching and supporting Accounts Assistants
*Reviewing and improving finance processes and procedures
About You
We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is confident supervising a finance team.
You will ideally have:
*Strong experience across AP, AR, banking and expenses
*Previous experience supervising or managing finance staff
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Strong Excel and ERP experience
*Experience with month-end and year-end processes
*Good financial analysis and data manipulation skills
*Excellent communication skills
*A proactive, hands-on approach
*AAT qualification would be advantageous
*Experience within construction would be desirable
