Full job descriptionPortfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Bedfordshire based client to recruit for a Buyer.


You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of products and the associated supply base.


Key responsibilities:
*Maintain and develop effective supplier relationships
*Management of internal stakeholders
*Management of you assigned commodities to ensure continuity of supply
*Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability across your product portfolio
*Implement opportunities to improve, service, cost, and inventory
*Provide updates on any supply issues, risk and shortages


Skills and Experience:
*Experience in a Buying role
*Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment
*Experience in using ERP/MRP systems
*Understanding of inventory management principles
*Strong organisation skills
