McGeoch Technology Ltd. is a well-established and expanding manufacturing company based in Birmingham and due to their current projected growth, we are now looking to recruit for the position of Waterjet Operator.
Key Responsibilities
*Set up and operate water jet and laser cutting machines.
*Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
*Monitor machine performance and make routine adjustments where required.
*Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
*Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment to ensure products meet specification.
*Identify defects or production issues and report them promptly.
*Complete production records and maintain accurate documentation.
*Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance checks.
*Ensure materials are correctly identified and handled.
*Work to production schedules and meet daily output targets.
*Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
*Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
*Has experience operating manufacturing machinery (water jet, laser, CNC or similar preferred).
*Can read engineering drawings (desirable).
*Has good attention to detail and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
*Is comfortable using measuring equipment such as verniers and tape measures.
*Can work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
*Has good communication skills.
*Is reliable, punctual and has a positive attitude.
*Is willing to learn and develop new skills.
Hours
*Monday to Thursday 1430 – 2300
*Friday 1100 - 1600
