Salary: Up to c.£40,000
Hybrid Working: 2 days office / 3 days home
Start Date: Mid to late November

Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a fantastic business based just outside Chester to recruit a Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation with a genuinely supportive and friendly finance team. The role offers broad exposure across the month-end process and management accounts function, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and working as part of a collaborative team environment.

The Role
Reporting into their Head of Finance, you will take ownership of key month-end activities while supporting the wider finance function as needed.

Duties will include:
*Preparing and posting journals
*Managing accruals and prepayments
*Completing balance sheet reconciliations
*Taking ownership of month-end processes
*Assisting with management accounts preparation
*Maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial records
*Supporting purchase and sales ledger activities when required
*Investigating and resolving financial discrepancies
*Working closely with the wider finance team to ensure reporting deadlines are met
*Providing ad hoc finance support as required

About You
To be considered, you will need:
*Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role
*Hands-on experience with month-end accounting processes
*Strong knowledge of accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
*Good Excel skills and attention to detail
*A proactive and team-oriented approach
*The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team environment
