BI LEAD (12-MONTH FTC)REMOTE (UK)
UP TO £60K
This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Intelligence & Visualisation Lead to join a data-driven organisation undergoing significant transformation. You’ll play a key role in shaping reporting capability, enhancing self-service analytics, and delivering impactful insights that influence decision-making across the business.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The BI Lead will:
*Develop, optimise, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
*Enhance existing reporting solutions and self-service analytics capabilities
*Work with semantic layers and data models to ensure reporting accuracy and performance
*Write and maintain SQL and DAX to support reporting requirements
*Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions
*Support dashboard governance, documentation, and reporting best practices
*Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business stakeholders on key reporting initiatives
*Contribute to agile delivery processes, sprint planning, and continuous improvement
*Explore opportunities to leverage AI-enabled analytics tools within reporting workflows
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
*Strong commercial experience with Power BI development, including both front-end visualisation and back-end modelling
*Excellent SQL skills for querying, transforming, and structuring data
*Strong understanding of data modelling principles, including concepts such as star schema, Kimball methodology, and semantic modelling
*Experience developing and maintaining DAX measures and calculations
*Confidence engaging with stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions
*Experience working within agile environments and managing prioritised workloads
*Strong communication and documentation skills
*Any experience with CI/CD is desirable
