A leading global professional services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of complex technology solutions across critical public sector projects.


This is a senior technical leadership opportunity for someone with extensive experience across cloud-native technologies, enterprise architecture, APIs and modern software development. You’ll translate high-level architectures into detailed technical designs, provide technical leadership to development teams and help shape long-term technology and AI strategies.


You’ll work across large-scale digital transformation programmes, designing secure, scalable and accessible citizen-facing services while working with technologies including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics.


Key Responsibilities
*Lead the technical design and implementation of complex enterprise-scale systems
*Translate high-level solution architectures into detailed technical designs, API specifications, data models and infrastructure designs
*Lead cloud-native implementations across AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
*Provide technical guidance, mentoring and assurance to development teams
*Conduct technical reviews across code, infrastructure and deployment pipelines
*Design secure, scalable and resilient architectures across public sector environments
*Lead CRM, Contact Centre and digital transformation programmes
*Integrate AI into citizen-facing services, automation and digital platforms


Skills & Experience
*Extensive experience in a hands-on Technical Architecture or Lead Development role
*Strong experience designing complex, enterprise-scale systems
*Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
*Expert-level experience with Node.js, Python and/or Java
*Strong experience building scalable backend services and APIs
*Solid understanding of architectural patterns including microservices, event-driven and serverless
*Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code and containerisation
*Experience with technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
*Strong understanding of GenAI engineering tools, such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
