An ACA or ACCA qualified Business Services Manager is wanted by a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Peterborough, to take ownership of a varied client portfolio and lead the team around them.
Peterborough has a diverse and commercially active business community, and the firm is well positioned within it, with a client base offering breadth across sectors and business sizes. The team is collaborative and well structured, and the firm has a strong regional reputation. Crowe Watson Recruitment knows the East of England market well.
What’s the day to day of the role:
*Managing a varied portfolio, overseeing accounts and business advisory delivery
*Reviewing work prepared by junior and semi senior staff for quality and accuracy
*Acting as a trusted point of contact and building long term client relationships
*Supporting partners on complex assignments and strategic client planning
*Leading, mentoring and developing members of the business services team
*Contributing to business development and identifying opportunities to grow the client base
Required skills and qualifications:
*ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong business services background gained in practice
*At least five years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
*Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team in a practice setting
*Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, corporation tax and financial reporting
*Excellent leadership and communication skills, commercially astute and proactive
