Full job descriptionI am delighted to be working with a growing Lloyd’s Broker in the recruitment of an IBA Accounts Manager. This role is on a part-time 4 days per week. My client offer a hybrid model of 2-3 days in the office. In addition to a basic salary there is also a yearly bonus. Please find an overview of the role below.


Role overview
*Manage the day-to-day Finance and IBA function, maintaining accurate accounting records
*Oversee purchase/sales ledger, cashbook, bank reconciliations, payroll and pensions.
*Manage client and insurer cash, including premium, commission, brokerage and return premium transactions.
*Reconcile insurer statements, process settlements and produce IBA, brokerage and management reports.
*Complete Client Money Calculations and support month-end processes.
*Monitor outstanding premiums, manage credit control and proactively chase overdue balances.
*Maintain accurate IBA records and resolve accounting discrepancies and queries from clients, insurers and internal teams.
*Liaise with Technical and wider Finance teams to resolve outstanding items and improve processes.
*Identify and implement improvements to IBA processes, controls and overall efficiency.


Ideal Skills & Experience:
*Proven experience working within an IBA role within Lloyd’s insurance broking
*Strong knowledge of premium, commission, cash allocation and reconciliation processes
*Experience dealing with clients, insurers and/or underwriters
*A good understanding of Lloyd’s and/or the London insurance market
*Experience with CASS 5 and FCA client money requirements
*Strong understanding of IBA practices and insurance broking accounts
