Reed Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Greenwich to recruit a qualified Secondary Cover Teacher who can confidently deliver lessons across a range of subject areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a flexible and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys variety in their role and is passionate about maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour across Key Stages 3 and 4. Whether your specialism is English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, or another secondary subject, we would love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Secondary Cover Teacher, you will:
*Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subject areas.
*Maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
*Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
*Support students in achieving their learning objectives.
*Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and school leaders.
*Adapt confidently to different subjects and year groups as required.
*Uphold high expectations for student progress, attendance, and engagement.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*Experience teaching within UK secondary schools.
*Strong classroom management skills.
*The ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*A flexible, professional, and proactive approach to teaching.
*A commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential.
