Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 per annum + Study Support
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a growing and supportive accountancy practice. This role is ideal for someone currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification and looking to further develop their technical skills within a collaborative and professional environment.
Working closely with experienced accountants and client managers, you will gain exposure to a varied client portfolio and play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
*Assist with the preparation of management accounts
*Prepare and submit VAT returns
*Support the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
*Maintain accurate client records and working papers
*Use accounting software to complete assignments efficiently
*Liaise with clients regarding routine queries and information requests
*Assist senior team members with ad hoc accounting assignments
*Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
*2 to 4 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
*Experience preparing statutory accounts and VAT returns
*Studying towards AAT, ACCA or ACA (or equivalent)
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
*Good communication and client-facing skills
*A proactive approach and willingness to learn
*Ambition to progress your career within a professional practice environment
