Description
Financial Accountant responsibilities:
*Take ownership of the month-end and year-end close process, producing accurate management accounts and financial reports across multiple entities
*Maintain the balance sheet through regular reconciliations, investigation of variances and resolution of outstanding items
*Manage day-to-day transactional finance activities, including supplier payments, customer receipts and fixed asset accounting
*Prepare and deliver financial reporting packs, providing meaningful analysis and commentary to support business performance
*Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities, helping to inform strategic decision-making
*Ensure compliance with relevant financial, statutory and regulatory requirements through the preparation of returns and filings
*Support external audit processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations and responding to information requests
*Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial controls, reporting processes and operational efficiency
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
*Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
*Previous experience producing management accounts, financial reporting and financial analysis
*Proficient in accounting systems and confident working with financial data
*Strong attention to detail
*Well-organised
*Proactive and inquisitive approach
*Strong communication skills
Job Offer
