ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a skilled and reliable Tripper Driver with immediate effect for our client who continue to grow and dominate their market.
Start Date – Immediately
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage logistics effectively. The ideal applicant will have a background in commercial driving and possess mechanical knowledge to handle minor repairs and maintenance.
Duties
*Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
*Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition. .
*Maintain accurate records of deliveries,
*Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
*Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
*Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
Requirements
*Valid HGV driving licence.
*Proven experience in commercial driving, with a clean driving record.
*Knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
*Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
*Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
*Willingness to work .
*A good understanding of logistics and route planning is advantageous.
