The Opportunity
A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Chelmsford is looking to recruit an ambitious Audit Semi Senior to join its expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with accountancy practice experience who is looking to develop their audit career within a supportive environment. The role will provide exposure to a varied client portfolio across a range of sectors, alongside ongoing professional development and clear progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
*Assisting with audit assignments from planning through to completion
*Conducting audit fieldwork both on-site and remotely
*Preparing audit working papers and supporting documentation
*Liaising with clients to obtain relevant financial information
*Preparing statutory accounts for a variety of clients
*Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns
*Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
*Working closely with Audit Seniors, Managers, and Partners on client engagements
About You
*Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
*Some exposure to audit assignments is essential
*AAT qualified or currently studying ACA or ACCA
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
*Experience using accounting and audit software would be advantageous
*Enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to progress within practice
