The Opportunity
A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Brentwood is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join its professional and friendly team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an FCCA-qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive practice. The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients, oversee the delivery of high-quality accounts services, and play a key role in developing junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing a portfolio of limited company, sole trader, partnership, and SME clients
*Reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements prepared by junior staff
*Preparing complex accounts assignments where required
*Reviewing corporation tax returns and liaising with the tax team
*Acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients
*Providing business and financial advice to support clients’ growth
*Managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met
*Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior members of the team
*Supporting the Partners with practice development and client relationship management
About You
*FCCA qualified is essential
*Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
*Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and financial reporting standards
*Experience managing a client portfolio
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Proven ability to review work and supervise staff
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
*A proactive and commercial approach to client service
