The Opportunity
Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll help lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high food standards while supporting and developing the wider team. This position would suit an experienced Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to take the next step within a quality-driven fresh food operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen
* Lead the team during service and in the Head Chef’s absence
* Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation standards
* Assist with stock management, ordering, and cost control
* Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
* Train and mentor junior chefs
* Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials
About You
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef
* Passion for fresh food and quality ingredients
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Calm and professional during busy services
* Ambitious and keen to progress within a successful business
