Our client, a leader in their market, is looking for a Head of Finance to lead financial control, reporting and governance across the business. This is a senior finance leadership opportunity for an experienced finance professional with strong SOX expertise who can provide robust financial oversight, partner effectively with senior stakeholders and drive continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance:
*Lead the financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the business.
*Take ownership of the SOX control environment, ensuring controls are robust, appropriately documented and operating effectively.
*Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information and deliver high-quality reporting to senior stakeholders.
*Lead and develop the finance team, providing coaching, support and clear direction.
*Oversee month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
*Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge.
*Maintain a strong financial control and governance environment.
*Support internal and external audit requirements, including SOX compliance and remediation activity.
*Identify and deliver opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.
*Drive continuous improvement and support wider finance transformation initiatives.
*Ensure finance policies, processes and documentation remain accurate and up to date.
Key essentials of the Head of Finance:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
*Strong, demonstrable SOX experience is essential.
*Significant experience within financial control, reporting and governance.
*Strong people leadership and team development skills.
*Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
