Full job descriptionFreightserve recruitment are looking for a Customs Compliance Clerk for a busy well-established niche Freight Forwarder based in the NW10 area.
Key Responsibilities of a Customs Clerk
*Complete import customs declarations.
*Ensure all customs entries comply with HMRC regulations and current customs legislation.
*Liaise with customers, hauliers, customs authorities and internal teams to resolve customs-related queries.
*Monitor customs entries.
*Maintain accurate customs records and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
*Provide customers with updates regarding shipment and customs clearance status.
Experience Required:-
*Previous experience completing customs entries.
*Good understanding of HMRC customs procedures.
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
*Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*Good IT skills and experience using customs or freight forwarding systems.
Hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm
