Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum

Requirements

*Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
*Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or property development environment
*Good understanding of UK planning policy and legislation
*MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership is desirable
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
*A proactive, commercially minded approach to planning


Responsibilities

*Managing and progressing planning applications from initial appraisal through to determination
*Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation
*Undertaking site appraisals and assessing development potential
*Liaising with local planning authorities, clients, consultants and other stakeholders
*Supporting planning appeals, pre-application submissions and strategic land promotion
*Attending client meetings, site visits and planning consultations
*Contributing to the successful delivery of residential and mixed-use development projects
