We are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Private Family Solicitor to assist a multi-office law firm in Somerset.
The firm is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to provide interim support whilst they recruit on a permanent basis. The assignment will initially be for three months, although there is a strong possibility of an extension to six or nine months, depending on recruitment progress.
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private family law matters, including:
*Divorce and separation proceedings
*Financial remedy matters and associated financial settlements
*Private Children Act proceedings, including arrangements for children
*General private family law advice and associated matters
You will need to be confident managing your own caseload independently, although paralegal/legal assistant support will be available within the team.
Candidate Requirements:
*Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 3+ years’ experience in private family law
*Confident handling divorce, finances and private children matters
*Able to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
*Available to commence within the next month or sooner
*Ideally willing to conduct basic advocacy (counsel can be instructed for more complex hearings)
Working Arrangements:
The firm is flexible regarding working arrangements and can accommodate on-site, hybrid or fully remote working for the right candidate. Some office attendance would be preferred where possible, but is not essential.
Competitive market rates are available on a self-employed or limited company basis.
