Full job descriptionAn established financial services organisation is seeking a PaymentsAnalyst to join its operations team on a temporary basis. This role will focus on the accurate processing, verification and release of borrower and lender payments, ensuring all transactions are completed in line with agreed deadlines and operational controls.
Key Responsibilities:
*Review, approve and release payment instructions across multiple currencies.
*Manage scheduled and ad hoc loan principal, interest and fee payments.
*Monitor payment workflows and ensure transactions meet currency cut-off times.
*Investigate and resolve payment exceptions and failed payments.
*Conduct payment verification call-backs and maintain excellent client service standards.
*Liaise with internal stakeholders and banking partners regarding payment activity.
*Support team training and act as a payments subject matter expert.
Requirements:
*Previous payments operations experience within financial services.
*Strong understanding of payment controls, risk management and operational processes.
*Experience investigating payment exceptions and reconciliations.
*Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and other MS Office applications.
