Manage your own private client portfolio on the South Coast. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Southampton is looking for an ATT and/or CTA qualified Private Client Tax Senior, or ACA/ACCA with strong private client experience.
The portfolio covers high net worth individuals, trusts and estates, with compliance alongside advisory work. Southampton has an active professional services community and the firm’s private client base reflects that breadth. The team is technically strong and there’s a supported route to Assistant Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment knows the South Coast market well.
What’s the day to day of the role:
*Running a portfolio of HNW individuals, trusts and estates
*Preparing and reviewing self assessment returns and the compliance work around them
*Advising on income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
*Being the dependable point of contact for your clients
*Supporting and mentoring junior members of the private client team
*Handling HMRC correspondence and enquiries
Required skills and qualifications:
*ATT and/or CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA with a strong private client tax background
*At least three years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
*A track record of managing private clients accurately and confidently
*Solid knowledge of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts
*Professional with clients and well organised across competing deadlines
