Long-Term Temporary Opportunity | Reed EducationReed Education is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher with experience in Resistant Materials and Food Technology to join a welcoming secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students through creative, practical learning experiences and make a real impact in the classroom.
The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Resistant Materials and Food Technology. The successful candidate will encourage creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills while supporting students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities*Plan and deliver engaging D&T lessons in Resistant Materials and Food Technology.
*Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
*Create a safe and inclusive learning environment within workshops and food technology facilities.
*Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
*Contribute positively to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school setting.
*Strong subject knowledge in Resistant Materials and Food Technology.
*Excellent classroom management skills.
*Passionate about encouraging creativity and practical learning.
*Committed to raising attainment and pupil engagement.
