Gravesend | £28,000–£38,000
Looking for a role where your expertise is valued and you can build lasting client relationships?
CKB Recruitment is working with a growing insurance group seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler for its Gravesend office.
Alongside general commercial insurance, you’ll handle an interesting mix of specialist risks, including petrochemical clients and travelling fairgrounds—an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical knowledge.
The Role
You’ll manage a portfolio of commercial clients, working closely with insurers and colleagues to provide a high standard of service throughout the policy lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Handling client enquiries, policy amendments and mid-term adjustments
*Preparing and negotiating renewals
*Obtaining and comparing insurer quotations
*Handling new business and ongoing account management
*Producing accurate policy documentation and maintaining records
*Supporting clients with claims enquiries
*Building strong client and insurer relationships
*Maintaining FCA and company compliance standards
About You
You’ll need at least 2–3 years’ experience in commercial insurance broking and the confidence to manage your own client portfolio.
Acturis experience is essential, while e-trade processing experience would be an advantage.
You’ll also bring:
*Strong commercial insurance knowledge
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Good organisation and attention to detail
*The ability to work independently and collaboratively
*A willingness to support junior colleagues
Progress towards Cert CII would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
