Full job descriptionSenior IFA Administrator
Colchester | From £35,000

We are working with a long-established professional services firm to recruit a Senior IFA Administrator for the financial planning team in their Colchester office.

Our client has a well-regarded financial planning division advising a high net worth client base, and now sits within a larger national group, so the local team and client relationships remain, with the benefits, development structure and stability of a substantial business behind them.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the IFA Team Leader and working alongside the Financial Planning Managers, Financial Planners and Paraplanners, this is a senior administration role focused on client servicing, new business implementation and ongoing review administration. The emphasis throughout is on supporting a premium client experience with accurate, auditable and compliant records.

Key responsibilities include:

*Preparing and submitting new business applications and supporting documentation
*Obtaining provider information, valuations and policy details
*Processing letters of authority, withdrawals, top-ups, fund switches and other servicing requests
*Monitoring pipelines, chasing providers and platforms, and progressing cases through to completion
*Preparing review packs, meeting documentation and ongoing service administration
*Maintaining accurate client records, workflows and document management on the back-office and CRM systems
*-Handling client and provider enquiries by telephone and email, resolving where appropriate and escalating where necessary
*Working closely with the wider team to prioritise workloads, progress cases and provide cover during absence or peak demand
*Working in line with FCA rules, Consumer Duty, GDPR and AML requirements

WHO THIS WILL SUIT

*Significant experience in an IFA, wealth management or financial planning administration role
*Strong working knowledge of pensions, investments, ISAs, bonds, protection and general client servicing
*Experience of new business processing, provider and platform liaison, and ongoing review administration
*Comfortable working within back-office, CRM and provider systems, with a strong record-keeping discipline
*Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail
*Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and use initiative to resolve issues
*Good standard of general education including English GCSE or equivalent, with strong written and verbal communication skills suited to a high net worth client base

No professional qualifications are required for this role - relevant experience, capability and a strong client-service mindset are considered more important. For the right candidate, the firm will provide financial support towards regulated financial planning exams and the Regulated Financial Planning Diploma.

THE PACKAGE

*Salary from £35,000, depending on experience
*Pension - 5% employee contribution matched by 5% employer contribution
*Life assurance - death in service cover at four times salary
*Share Incentive Plan
