Job Description:
Full job descriptionFinancial Controller
Leeds
£65,000 - £75,000 + Bonus

Elevation are exclusively partnered with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Leeds as they look to recruit a Financial Controller to lead their finance function.
Having come through a period of change, the business is now in a strong position and has clear ambitions to scale over the coming years. Finance will play a central role in that journey, and this appointment is an important one for the site.
This is a genuinely commercial role, not just a reporting one. You’ll be the most senior finance presence on site and a key member of the site leadership team, working closely with operations to report on and improve site performance. Your insight will directly shape decisions, from day-to-day cost control through to longer-term investment.
It’s a well-established position with real autonomy and genuine scope to grow as the business does. For someone ready to step up and take ownership of a finance function, it’s a rare opportunity to make a visible impact.
What you’ll be doing
*Owning the monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts, including the audit process
*Leading, coaching and developing a small, capable finance team
*Leading the annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-range planning for the site
*Managing cash flow and working capital, keeping a close eye on liquidity as the business grows
*Partnering operational and commercial leads, managing cost centres and providing insight on margin and performance
*Supporting capex evaluation and investment appraisal for future growth projects
*Strengthening financial controls, policies and risk frameworks
*Driving process and systems improvements, making finance faster and more useful to the business
What you’ll bring
*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a solid technical grounding
*Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred, ideally with a good understanding of costing and operational finance
*Confidence operating with real commercial exposure and influencing non-finance colleagues
*Experience leading or developing a team
*The adaptability to thrive in a fast-moving, growing business
*Ambition and an appetite for a bigger scope as the business scales
If this is the kind of step you’ve been looking for, apply now and we’ll reach out to arrange a conversation.
