Job Description:
Full job descriptionYour new company
You will be joining a well-established manufacturing business with a long-standing reputation for quality and continuous improvement. The site operates a varied range of production equipment and is looking to strengthen its maintenance team with an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician who can help ensure maximum reliability and uptime across the plant.
Your new role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns across a range of production machinery and equipment. You will support production by diagnosing faults, completing repairs, assisting with machinery installations and minor project work, and ensuring maintenance records are kept up to date using the site’s CMMS. You will also play an active role in maintaining high health and safety standards while supporting operational efficiency across the facility.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have a recognised mechanical apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent City & Guilds qualification within a mechanical discipline. You will have previous experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance environment, with strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. Experience with pneumatics, machinery installation, engineering drawings, workshop machinery, and basic electrical fault-finding will be highly beneficial. Candidates with welding experience, inverter knowledge, or electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition will be at an advantage.
What you’ll get in return
In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary based on your experience and skill set, along with ongoing training and development opportunities. Additional benefits include a company pension scheme, generous annual leave allowance, paid call-out rota participation, and the opportunity to join a stable and supportive engineering team where your contribution will be valued.
