We are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a purpose-driven charitable organisation based in Cornwall, offering the opportunity to combine hands-on financial management with strategic leadership.
Who would this role suit?
This role would suit an experienced accountant who enjoys taking ownership of a finance function while contributing to wider organisational strategy. You’ll be commercially minded, analytical and proactive, with the confidence to advise senior leaders and trustees. Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector would be particularly beneficial.
Key responsibilities
You will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and payroll. You’ll lead financial reporting, year-end accounts and audit processes, maintain robust financial controls and compliance, and provide financial insight to support strategic planning, grant funding and long-term sustainability.
About you
*Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
*Strong experience in financial management, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
*Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills.
*Advanced Excel skills; experience with Xero is highly desirable.
