Tradewind Recruitment is working with a SEND provision in Bedfordshire that is looking for a dedicated and resilient year 5 Teacher to join their team.


This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils who face barriers to mainstream education. Working with children and young people with behavioural needs, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity in their education, building positive relationships and helping them re-engage with learning.


What you’ll be doing:


*Delivering engaging and adaptable lessons
*Supporting pupils with SEND in a specialist educational setting
*Establishing clear expectations and promoting positive behaviour through consistent classroom management
*Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and abilities
*Creating a structured, safe and supportive learning environment where pupils feel valued and encouraged
*Working collaboratively with the wider school team to support pupils’ academic progress and personal development


We’re looking for someone who:


*Has previous experience working in a school with experience supporting children with behavioural needs and SEND being essential
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Is confident managing challenging behaviour and maintaining clear, consistent boundaries
*Is patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils who may have had difficult experiences of education
*Can adapt their teaching style to engage pupils with diverse learning needs
*Works well as part of a team while using their own initiative
