Full job descriptionRG Consultancy are working with a fantastic growing SME in Stockport who are looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance department. The role is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant who is studying and looking to progress or would equally suit an experience Senior Management Accountant who can step into a Finance Manager position

Role Responsibilities
*Manage day-to-day accounting processes across multiple entities
*Maintain accurate financial records and ensure trial balances are up to date
*Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
*Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
*Analyse financial results, investigate variances and highlight key findings
*Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
*Ensure sales and purchase ledgers are accurate and up to date
*Monitor outstanding debts and flag potential payment issues
*Support month-end and year-end close processes
*Assist with annual audits and provide supporting financial documentation
*Liaise with other departments to gather and validate financial information
*Contribute to improving financial controls and support ad-hoc finance tasks
Person Specification
*CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or studying towards becoming qualified
*Experience working as a Management Accountant or Finance Manager within a fast-paced SME
*Strong IT skills including advanced MS Excel skills and accounting software experience
*Experience within the engineering or a similar sector would be preferable
