Robertson Bell is partnering with a charity to recruit a Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional with charity experience to take ownership of operational finance, support financial reporting and lead the annual audit.
Key responsibilities:
*Oversee month-end reporting, accruals and prepayments.
*Prepare and present financial reports to budget holders.
*Lead the annual audit, including the new Charities SORP requirements.
*Support VAT and Gift Aid returns.
*Coordinate the work of 2–3 Finance Officers.
*Review and improve existing finance processes.
About you:
*Strong transactional accounting and month-end experience.
*Charity or not-for-profit sector experience.
*Experience with audit and financial reporting.
*A proactive approach, with the ability to manage workloads and improve processes. Formal line management experience is not essential.
The details:
*Salary: £55,000–£62,000.
*Location: Harrogate, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.
*Hours: 37 per week, with a 4pm finish on Fridays.
*Contract: 12-month FTC, with a Novemeber start ideally.
