Job Description:
Full job descriptionSome of the biggest achievements in education are the smallest steps forward.
Academics are looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils at a specialist school in Eastbourne. The pupils have a range of complex learning and developmental needs, and will benefit from someone who understands the importance of patience, consistency and individualised support.
What makes this role different?
You’ll help pupils engage with activities, develop communication skills and build independence at their own pace. Support may include using visual resources, sensory activities and alternative ways of communicating, alongside assisting with everyday routines and personal care where required.
You could be a great fit if you:
*Have experience in SEN, healthcare, care work or supporting people with complex needs.
*Are comfortable adapting your approach to suit individual pupils.
*Understand that communication doesn’t always happen through words.
*Can provide calm, consistent and compassionate support.
Experience is valuable, but so is the willingness to learn and build meaningful relationships.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client’s pay policy.
