Full job descriptionThe Role*Supporting pupils with additional learning needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

*Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities and learning.

*Supporting pupils with their communication, social skills and emotional development.

*Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

*Providing personal care where required.

*Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning.

The Ideal Candidate*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.

*A patient, caring and understanding approach.

*Strong communication and teamwork skills.

*The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils.

*A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing.

Requirements*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

*Two professional references.

*The right to work in the UK.
