A specialist school in Wokingham is seeking an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its team as soon as possible. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge while supporting pupils with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD and learning difficulties.
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers to help pupils access learning, develop social skills and build their confidence in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support during classroom activities.
*Help pupils develop communication, social interaction and independent learning skills.
*Support children who experience difficulties with attention, emotional regulation or engagement.
*Adapt activities to meet pupils’ individual learning needs.
*Encourage positive behaviour and participation in lessons.
*Work with teachers to monitor progress and provide consistent support.
The ideal Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant will be patient, proactive and passionate about helping children reach their potential. Previous experience working with children or individuals with additional needs is beneficial but not essential.
