Full job descriptionJob Responsibilities: NLGV Driver Operative
*Drive and operate NLGV vehicles for street cleansing and environmental services
*Carry out manual street cleansing and related environmental duties
*Collect and remove waste, litter and other materials as required
*Operate vehicle-mounted equipment and other relevant machinery safely
*Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues
*Follow health and safety procedures and safe working practices
*Work as part of the Street Cleansing team to maintain clean and safe public areas
*Carry out manual handling and physical duties as required
*Follow work schedules and instructions from supervisors
*Maintain accurate records and report completed work or issues
*Provide a professional and courteous service to members of the public
*Work Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, as required
Person Specification: NLGV Driver Operative
Essential: NLGV Driver Operative
*Full and valid driving licence suitable for the role
*Previous experience driving or operating larger vehicles is desirable
*Experience of manual work or street/environmental services
*Ability to carry out physically demanding and manual duties
*Ability to operate equipment safely and follow instructions
*Good understanding of health and safety requirements
*Reliable, punctual and able to work to scheduled times
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team
*Good communication and customer service skills
*Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
*Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
*Commitment to confidentiality and data protection
Desirable: NLGV Driver Operative
*Experience in street cleansing, waste collection, grounds maintenance or similar environmental services
*Experience operating NLGV or other specialist vehicles
*Data Protection Level 1 Training
