We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business at its production facility.


This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer to join a busy industrial environment, playing a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting production operations.


Key Responsibilities

*Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery and equipment.
*Diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns efficiently.
*Undertake mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs.
*Assist with PLC fault finding and troubleshooting.
*Install, commission and test new equipment where required.
*Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
*Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
*Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability.
*Support root cause analysis of recurring faults.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and maintain high housekeeping standards.


Skills & Experience

*Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
*Experience in FMCG or process manufacturing would be advantageous.
*Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
*PLC fault-finding experience.
*Relevant engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
*18th Edition qualification would be advantageous.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.


Salary & Benefits

*Salary up to £40,000, dependent on experience.
*Overtime paid at 1.5x.
*20 days’ annual holiday, plus bank holidays where applicable.
*Company pension.
