Job Description:
Full job descriptionA private equity backed wealth management group is building out its finance function under a newly appointed CFO, and this is the first senior hire into FP&A. The business has grown steadily, has investors behind it, and is now investing in its data, putting in a modern platform to give the leadership team a clearer, faster view of performance.
This is the number one FP&A role. You will report directly to the CFO, who came up through FP&A and wants someone to develop, not just a report producer. You will own planning, forecasting and performance analysis end to end, and be the person the leadership team turns to when they want to understand the numbers behind a decision, including potential acquisitions. For someone ready to move from a reporting-heavy role into one with real commercial influence, it is a genuine step up.
London based, hybrid working, with a salary of £85,000 to £100,000 plus benefits.
The Role
*Own the annual budget, reforecasts and the longer-term financial plan
*Build and run monthly performance reporting and KPI packs for the leadership team and investors
*Analyse revenue, margin and adviser productivity, and explain what is driving the results
*Model the returns on potential acquisitions and other investment decisions
*Partner with operational and front office leaders to turn the numbers into decisions
*Help shape the new data platform and how finance uses it
*Improve the planning process and the tools behind it
*Present findings clearly to senior stakeholders
What we’re looking for
*A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
*Strong FP&A experience, ideally in wealth management, asset management or wider financial services
*Experience with Databricks or a similar data platform is a real advantage
*Excellent financial modelling, including investment or acquisition appraisal
*Confidence presenting to senior leaders and challenging the business
*A track record of career progression and a commercial mindset
