Full job descriptionA well-established accountancy practice near Wokingham is seeking an experienced Practice Accountant to join their friendly team. This varied role supports both the accounts and tax departments, working with a portfolio of SME clients.
The salary for this role is up to £65,000 depending on experience. You will be fully officed based in the firms offices close to Wokingham.
Main responsibilities for the Practice Accountant role are:
*Accounts preparation for SME clients (FRS 102 Section 1a & FRS 105).
*Preparation of Corporation Tax computations & CT600’s.
*Advising clients on salary and dividends.
*Preparation and review of Personal Tax Returns.
*Assisting with MTD for Income Tax Returns.
*Be the first point of contact for allocated clients, responding to various client enquiries in an accurate and timely manner.
*Review the work of other members of staff.
*Develop an ongoing, effective relationship with clients and ensure retention of clients.
*Working within a team to ensure deadlines are met and be able to work independently.
Skills required the Practice Accountant role are:
*Qualified, part-qualified or QBE accountant
*number of years proven experience working in practice
*Strong software knowledge (IRIS, Sage, Xero, FreeAgent etc.)
*Excellent communication, organisation & attention to detail
