An established organisation is seeking a Fleet SpecialistMechanic to join its repairs team in Northampton on an initial 3-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with hands-on mechanical, engineering, maintenance, or repair experience who are looking to develop their skills within a growing operation. Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for individuals with strong practical aptitude, even if they do not have direct electric vehicle experience.
Key Details*Location: Northampton NN4
*Start Date: ASAP
*Contract Length: 3 Months
*Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm
*Weekend Work: Required on a rota basis
*Pay Rate: £14.14 per hour
Responsibilities*Diagnose, maintain, and repair electric vehicles
*Support the preparation and handling of new vehicle inventory
*Carry out inspections and basic fault finding
*Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
*Work closely with the wider repairs and operations teams
Ideal Candidate*Experience in a mechanical, engineering, maintenance, assembly, fitting, or repair-based role
*Practical and hands-on approach to work
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
*Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
*Willingness to learn and undertake training
