Full job descriptionRobert Half Finance and Accounting are partnering with a leading metals exchange in London who are looking to recruit an immediate Accounts Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Role:
Our client is looking to recruit an immediate Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
In this role you will be responsible for the following duties:
*Process daily client collateral movements, ensuring timely execution and accurate reconciliation of client and counterparty transactions
*Assist in managing the firm’s daily cash flow in line with liquidity and risk management policies
*Support the Financial Controller with daily treasury operations and cash flow forecasts
*Maintain client account information and assist with daily and monthly bank reconciliations
*Assist in reconciling FX positions, margin accounts and other client-related records
*Ensure client payments and receipts are accurately recorded, plus journal processing and queries
*Support the annual audit process and assist with VAT returns, corporation tax and other HMRC documentation
*General finance team support, including invoice processing, payments, employee expenses and ad-hoc reports
Profile:
The successful Accounts Assistant will have a background in accounts, treasury, cash management or finance operations, ideally within financial services. You will have strong reconciliation skills, a good understanding of treasury, margin, collateral and FX processes, and an eye for detail.
Client:
Our client is a metals exchange based in London who are looking to recruit an immediate Accounts Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be office based 3 days per week - 2 days from home.
Salary & Benefits:
This Accounts Assistant role will be paying £17-19 per hour PAYE dependent on experience.
