RGB Recruitment is working with a specialist engineering business looking to recruit a practical, reliable Installation Operative to join its growing team.

This is a varied, hands-on position combining workshop preparation and assembly with installation work on engineering projects across the UK.

You’ll be working with a small, experienced team, supporting the preparation, installation and maintenance of mechanical and structural components.

The Role
*Preparing and assembling mechanical and fabricated components
*Loading, unloading and preparing equipment for site
*Using hand and power tools for drilling, fixing and installation
*Carrying out basic concrete, formwork and pipework activities
*Maintaining workshop equipment, tools and stock
*Working safely on site, following RAMS and supervisor instructions
*Travelling to projects across the UK, including overnight stays

What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience in construction, mechanical installation, fabrication, maintenance or similar practical work
*An HNC Level 4 in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or a relevant Level 3 NVQ qualification
*Confident using hand and power tools
*Full UK driving licence
*Able to commute to the South Devon workshop
*Happy to travel and work away during the week when required
*A reliable, practical approach and good awareness of health and safety

CSCS, experience working around water and small concrete works would be advantageous, although additional training can be provided.
