Elevation Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established SME distribution business in Sheffield. They are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations and lead a committed team.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be responsible for keeping goods moving efficiently, accurately and safely, while building a team that takes pride in its work. The business is growing, and you will have real influence over how the warehouse develops.
The role
*Manage all inbound, storage, picking, packing and outbound dispatch operations
*Lead, motivate and develop a warehouse team, including rotas, performance and training
*Plan resource effectively to meet customer deadlines and service levels
*Maintain high standards of stock accuracy, including cycle counts and stock reconciliations
*Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures
*Manage MHE, equipment maintenance and site safety checks
*Work closely with transport, customer service and purchasing to resolve issues quickly
*Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce cost
*Report on KPIs and operational performance to senior management
About you
*Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Supervisor within a distribution or logistics environment
*Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead from the front
*Good working knowledge of WMS and stock control systems
*Sound understanding of health and safety in a warehouse setting (IOSH, NEBOSH or similar is advantageous)
*Organised, practical and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment
*Experience in an SME or growing business is an advantage
