We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and caring Catering Assistant to join our friendly school team.
You will be responsible for collecting prepared meals from a neighbouring school, transporting them safely to our site, and serving lunches to pupils while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and food safety.
This is a term-time only position for 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday, from 11:15am to 1:15pm.
Duties will include:*Collecting and transporting school meals from a neighbouring school.
*Preparing and serving meals to pupils.
*Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and allergen management.
*Setting up and clearing away the serving area.
*Washing up and carrying out general kitchen duties as required.
*Providing a friendly, welcoming and positive dining experience for children.
We are looking for someone who:*Is reliable, punctual and well organised.
*Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
*Is able to work independently and as part of a team.
*Has access to their own vehicle and holds a full, valid driving licence, as the role requires the daily collection of meals from another school.
*Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
*Has a good standard of spoken and written English.
Previous catering experience would be desirable but is not essential, as full training, including food hygiene training, will be provided.

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
