We are recruiting on behalf of a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice that works closely with ambitious SME business owners, providing a full range of accounting, tax and advisory services. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys building client relationships and wants to play a key role in supporting businesses as they grow.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted point of contact and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services. You’ll work closely with business owners, helping them understand their financial performance and supporting them in achieving their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing a portfolio of SME clients
*Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, VAT returns and tax compliance work
*Producing management accounts and financial reports
*Building and maintaining strong client relationships
*Discussing financial performance, profitability and cash flow with clients
*Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
*Identifying opportunities to provide additional value through advisory services
*Ensuring client deadlines are met and service standards remain high
About You
*ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
*Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
*Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, VAT and tax compliance
*Confident communicating financial information to clients
*Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
*Experience using cloud accounting software
