Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 + Overtime
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Dayshift

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner / Machinist to join a well-established precision engineering business. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in programming, setting and operating CNC machinery, while also utilising manual machining skills to manufacture high-quality precision components.
The Role
*Program, set and operate XYZ CNC machines using SolidWorks/CAM software.
*Manufacture precision components primarily from aluminium, with some stainless steel and other engineering materials.
*Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications to produce components to required standards.
*Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using a range of measuring equipment.
*Make adjustments to CNC programs, tooling, offsets and machine parameters as required.
*Support prototype, low-volume and bespoke manufacturing projects.
*Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement and reduce setup times.
What We’re Looking For
*Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent machining experience.
*Strong background in CNC Turning, including programming, setting and operating.
*Experience with manual lathes and milling machines.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
*Competent using inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges.
*Experience using SolidWorks/CAM software would be highly advantageous.
*High attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
*Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
