We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Temporary Project Coordinator to join a busy and rapidly growing projects team within a specialist engineering business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody with experience in project administration, project coordination, document control or a strong administrative support role who can quickly get to grips with a busy workload and provide much-needed support to an established team.

You don’t need to come from a technical engineering background. The organisation operates within a specialist environment and is therefore looking primarily for someone with excellent organisation, coordination and administration skills who is comfortable learning as they go.

The Role:
Working closely with the Projects Team Manager and wider project team, responsibilities will include:
*Providing day-to-day project administration and coordination support
*Managing and maintaining project documentation
*Supporting document control processes
*Ensuring documentation is submitted in line with project and programme timescales
*Supporting compliance and legislative documentation
*Updating project programmes and distributing information to customers
*Liaising with internal teams and departments to obtain project updates
*Keeping project information organised, accurate and up to date
*Helping to take administrative workload away from the wider project team

About you:
We’d love to speak to candidates who can demonstrate:
*Previous Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Document Controller or similar experience
*Strong administrative and organisational skills
*Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines
*Excellent attention to detail
*The ability to work proactively and take ownership of tasks
*Strong communication skills when dealing with different teams and stakeholders
*Microsoft Project experience would be highly advantageous

Previous experience within electrical engineering or a similar technical environment could be useful, but isn’t essential. The business recognises that its work is highly specialised and is open to candidates coming from other sectors who bring the right transferable skills.
Why consider this opportunity?
This is more than simply a temporary administration assignment. The business has a strong focus on personal and professional development, including supporting employees through further education and professional qualifications, with a preference for developing and progressing existing employees internally where possible.

The temporary route also provides an excellent opportunity to get to know the organisation and demonstrate your capabilities, with the business open to considering temp-to-permanent options for the right person.

There is some flexibility around working hours and, for an exceptional candidate whose focus is primarily administrative support, a four-day working week may also be considered.

If you’re an experienced Project Coordinator, Project Administrator or Document Controller who is available at short notice and keen to join a growing project environment, we’d love to hear from you.
