Newport
Our client is looking for an experienced data migration specialist to move data from a recently acquired UK business into their SAP ECC6 system. The work covers preparing, cleansing, converting, loading and reconciling data through repeated migration cycles, leading up to a successful go-live.
Key responsibilities
*Prepare and maintain migration plans, mapping specifications and runbooks.
*Support business teams in cleansing non-SAP data and preparing master and transactional data templates.
*Maintain source-to-target mappings and transformation rules.
*Develop migration scripts (for example, LSMW), run test loads and resolve failures.
*Carry out dress rehearsals and reconciliations to ensure data quality.
*Support cut-over planning, production migration and post go-live hypercare.
Essential skills
*Hands-on experience migrating data from non-SAP systems to SAP ECC6.
*Experience developing data load programmes (for example, LSMW).
*Strong understanding of SAP data objects.
*Experience with data conversion, mapping and transformation.
*Experience resolving data load defects and failures.
*Ability to work collaboratively with functional consultants and business stakeholders.
*Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
*Current UK SC security clearance is required.
Desirable
*SAP ECC6 functional knowledge of finance and/or logistics.
